Serving and assisting with drinking as required
Administration and taking of medications
General domestic duties, including laundry
General housework, including dusting and cleaning of rooms, furniture and fitments and other household maintenance
Making and changing of beds
Assistance with shopping and other associated tasks
Other duties include:
Assistance in and out of car
Driving vehicle
Escorting to business, medical and social appointments, meetings and events
Other general duties as required and agreed

Description : The main purpose of this role is to provide support to enable a 24 year old woman to live a full life despite her epilepsy.
The client lives with her parents and her two dogs, one of which is a trained seizure alert dog. Her seizure frequency means that she is currently unable to work and so spends much of her time at home.
A carer is required to work on Fridays each week (other carers cover the remaining days).
Main duties include:
Acting as a companion
Motivating and encouraging the client
Preparing simple meals
Accompanying the client and her seizure alert dog on shopping trips etc
Domestic duties to help the client look after her living accommodation
Exercising dogs when the client is unable to
Helping the client to keep track of various medical appointments and accompanying her when necessary
Helping with personal care if required, including assisting after a seizure
Personal qualities and experience:
Good communication skills
Patient
Some experience of epileptic seizures or willingness to learn
Driver with access to reliable car (mileage will be paid)
Dog lover
Flexible - the duties are varied
Ability to prepare simple nutritional meals
Good organisational skills
Hours of work could be adjusted slightly if appropriate.

Description : I am a 26 year old young man who has Cerebral Palsy. I am looking for two PAs to undertake my personal care as well as support with gym training and attending weekend competition events and training in respect of the 2012 Paralympic Games as required.
PA1 to assist with:
Personal care, meal preparation/cooking of meals, washing up and tidying up afterwards, laundry and possibly to do a weekly shop when required.
PA2 to assist with:
BOCCIA training, gym training, to travel with and support at weekend competitions and events. Must be sports orientated.
Both PAs will be required to have a full driving licence as on occasions will be required to assist with some driving to events etc.
Enhanced CRB check will be carried out.
It is very important to me that you are friendly and have a sense of humour, you will also need to be flexible and punctual.
