Description : This 34 year old man has a Brain Injury but physically is extremely active and well. It is the job of the Personal Assistant to assist me in all areas of my personal life and domestic need and to act as my escort/assistant in my social and day-to-day activities.
By providing assistance at the right time and in the manner I require, you will be enabling me to live independently in my own home within the community. Your main support will be in the form of the following:
PAs Responsibilities:-
1. Applicants must be willing to assist with all my personal care. This will include assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and meal preparation.
2. Prompt me to carry out household tasks (cleaning rooms/ laundry/bed making etc.
3. Prompt to eat and drink regularly.
4. Prompt and support preparing and cooking meals.
5. Prompt me to follow a program of activities safely.
6. Support me to carry out activities safely.
7. Support to go to the shop safely.
8. It would be helpful if you could drive and would need to have a clean full driving licence. You would need to escort me when I go for appointments, eg Doctors, Dentist and leisure outings.
9. It is very important to me that you are friendly and have a sense of humour, you will also need to be flexible and punctual.
10. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be requested to undertake other tasks as and when required commensurate with the role of a Personal Assistant (PA).

PA Skills:-
Ability to follow a set programme
Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day
Ability to swim and join in Gym activities
Desirable able to play Pool, and Ten Pin Bowling
This young man is looking for someone who is friendly, enthusiastic, and trustworthy with good motivation, and who is punctual and can work as a team.
Full training will be given.
An enhanced CRB check would be required.
Pattern of working: Monday 0800-1930 with Support Group (Support Group 1000-1230) or 0900-1800 without Support Group, Thursday 0800-1900 (every other week), Friday 0800-2200 (Support Group 1000-1500) or 0900-1800 without Support Group, Saturday 0900-1800 - one week 38 hrs working the Thursday, one week 27 hrs without the Thursday
