You will be in good general health as lifting, handling, pushing and bending is important. You will also need to be confident in using a hoist for some of the personal requirements listed below.
My personal requirements are:
Washing, showering and toileting;
Personal grooming with attention to hair, nails etc and in-depth skincare routine;
Dealing with continence management and assisting me to maintain a bowel and bladder management routine;
Full assistance with dressing and undressing;
Helping in and out of bed/wheelchair (via hoist);
Serving and assisting with food and drink;
Administration of medication.
Note: No previous experience required as training will be provided
Other general duties:
General domestic duties, including laundry, gardening and other general housework (some help required);
Assistance with shopping and other associated tasks;
Driving and assistance in and out of wheelchair accessible vehicle (full driving licence required);
Escorting to business, medical and social appointments and events;
Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
The pay is £8 per hour and your assistance will be required for approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, however this is negotiable.

He attends the CNMSS and has various problems which affect his learning and behaviour, though he is usually very well behaved at school.
1. Applicants must be willing to assist with all my personal care.
This will include assistance with personal hygiene. In the event of a seizure, my protocol requires first line treatment with rectal diazepam, then calling an ambulance and accompanying me to hospital to await one of my parents. I carry an epipen, which may need to be used in the event of anaphylaxis.
